Adopt-A-Beach event! Sept. 17, 9am-noon.

As a Priority Health employee, and on behalf of the Green Team, I am looking for any volunteers interested in spending 3 hours (9am-noon) on Sat. Sept.17th, to help clean up the beach at Grand Haven State Park!  Priority Health has signed up with the Adopt-A-Beach program, and we are hoping to get a group of people together to help maintain the beautiful shape of Grand Haven beach.

Please respond to this blog if you’re interested.  We need to calculate the number of volunteers before the event.  This is a great opportunity to have a family day and volunteer to help our environment!  Also, another plus is that walking up and down the beach would be an excellent form of mild exercise!  Hopefully some of you will be able to make it!

On a side note, is anybody else excited for fall?  I’m getting anxious for the leaves to change colors, so I can admire them while I go for outside jogs and bike rides!

I am a current employee at Priority Health, and have always been interested in volunteering opportunities, as well as promoting exercise and healthy eating habits. I graduated from GVSU with my Bachelors degree in Health Communication and minor in Advertising/PR. I am currently attending GVSU for my Masters in Health Administration. I've always enjoyed sports and have participated in the sports of golf, skiing, basketball, track and swimming. I usually run one 5K every summer, and I hope to continue that tradition as well as increase that distance!
