10th Marathon is over…GR was great!

What a perfect day weather wise yesterday!  Felt pretty good throughout, but didn’t push myself because I knew I was under-trained.  Came in at 3:41…not my best, but I didn’t expect to do my best. No complaints here, just glad to have number 10 done and planning on number 11 in the spring.  Thanks to all the volunteers and staff for putting on another great marathon!

It ended up to be a perfect day, and I love this race, great support and crowds. WOW! 10 marathons — that is a great accomplishment. What marathon are you doing in the spring?

Think I will do either Martians or Bayshore…I’ve done Bayshore twice and love it. Although now you have to sign up very early!

Wow, awesome job! I aspire to be even close to your “not you best”! Lol. And I think I was standing in line behind you in the women’s locker room at the Y Sunday morning before the race. You and your friend have a runner tattoo, right? (I was the purple skirt) If I would have noticed the PH shirt, I would have said hello!!

Oh my gosh, yes you were behind me in the locker room…so funny! You would have seen my shirt if I didn’t have my long sleeve throw away on top. I ditched it just before the start. Everyone has their own pace and believe me I was never a runner growing up. I couldn’t even run a half mile without stopping when I started running eight years ago…but I kept going and here I am. I hope to even be faster when I hit my 40′s and my kids are grown so I have more time to train:) I believe running gets better with age…so keep going girl!
