The first race of the year where everywhere you looked was white. It also produced some very cold temps at the start of the race.It was a fabulous day if you had on a green and black suit. Jeff Koch attacked about 5-6 km into the race and soloed to a win. Milan Biac and I chased until Milan’s broken pole at the 12km feed zone cost him 2-3 minutes. I was tormented with former Priority Health rider Alex Vanias about 20 feet behind me until about 5km to go, allowing me to finish 2nd. John OHearn had a great day finishing in 4th after getting off with the lead group.
