I’ve been using an app for my phone called Endomondo to tracks my ride statistics since I started commuting to work back in May. Being that I’m such a data nerd and it was really hot last weekend, I thought I’d pull my stats off my phone and chart them to see what I’ve accomplished so far this summer.Gee, you know, there is often a reason why a particular app gets really good reviews and even wins the occasional award. I logged onto the Endomondo website for the first time since using the app and there were all my stats, nicely charted with time, distance AND altitude! My nerdishness was dashed but it was so cool to see all of my rides so nicely charted! It even mapped my routes so I could see where I’ve been.
So, in a nutshell, I’ve made 54 trips, ridden for a total of 1 day and 4 hours for 367 miles, burned 23,910 calories (which equals 44 burgers). My altitude has varied between 610 feet to 744 feet. All since mid-May!
The odometer on my bike computer is at 1,490. My bike and I have been together a long time and have had a lot of fun. This app really puts it all together. Check it out!
Ride on!
