Train outside the box

Training tip for the day:
Many cyclists put themselves into a specific “box.” They say, “I’m a climber” or “I’m a sprinter” or “I’m a time-trialer.” Then these athletes will work hard on their perceived strengths and avoid their “weaknesses,” which can lead to frustrating and limiting experiences.
The best athletes work hardest on their weaknesses. A good coach finds creative ways for his/her athletes to do this. The end result is a happier, well-rounded athlete who enjoys riding, training, and racing in a wide variety of environments and situations.
