Ironman, Oly, Ultra Oh MI!!

Well, it’s that time of year again! That mid-season point of every one’s race schedule/training where you’re somewhere between exhausted and the home stretch. Between look how far I’ve come and how much better can I get…Naturally, it’s tough not to be excited about what lies ahead. It’s also tough to not to start feeling more and more exhausted. Unfortunately, this is the one string of races I have been looking forward to the most! I’m sure as the races approach I will naturally get more excited, but between work and the day to day grind I can’t help but hope I catch my second wind.

Thankfully, I have possibly the most inspiring two weeks of TV and more sunshine than I can handle to keep me company. Between now and the middle of September I will continue to prepare for my second Ironman, two back to back Olympics and of course my second 50M ultra. When it’s all said and done I will have that much more experience, that much more drive for 2013 and about 50 reasons to sleep in :) The best part? As mentioned in a previous post, they are ALL local!

With that being said, what kind of “home stretch” do you all have? Anything coming up that you’re particularly excited about? What’s going to get you through to the end?!

Happy Trails!!
