That title will make sense for those with kids – it is a quote from the Kung Fu Panda
Last night I had the proverbial noodle dream – a sign that this triathlon thing has definitely made it into my psyche. In the “Kung Fu Panda” having the noodle dream signified (to the father) that Po had achieved a tipping point, that he was destined for greatness with noodles. In my case, I don’t know about the greatness part but…..
My last race for the season is the Reeds Lake Tri this Saturday, my third. Things have been going pretty well and I am starting the taper phase of training. Last night I teleported myself to race day, a day where I was scrambling to get my things together. Making it to the race I realized I hadn’t picked up my packet and saw the huge line to do so. Sweating bullets worrying about getting to the start on time when I noticed my bike tire was flat. Queue waking up in a bit of a sweat.
Well the last time I had a dream like that it involved some school final and I was in some skivvies or something to that effect. I can relax now – plenty of time (let me just double check the pick up times on Friday….).
Cheers – Mark
