What an experience!

I was one of the Champions who volunteered at the Michigan Titanium August 26 and I have to say it was an amazing experience!  I am in awe of the athletes who did both the half and full iron races.  I was lucky enough to see the full iron winner out on the course as he ran back towards the finish; what an athlete!  I felt even luckier to be there when our last athlete finished his race at 11:56.  We were all there holding out hope he would make it before the midnight cut off and when he came in to view we all started cheering him on; not one of us was willing to give up on him!  If you have a chance to come out or volunteer at next years MiTi I would strongly encourage it as it is an experience like none other.

I am married to a wonderful man who supports me in everything I do and is at every single race cheering me on! I love running and being fit; my husband sometimes refers to me as Jillian junior :) I love being able to help people reach their own fitness and weight loss goals because I know you're happier when you're healthier! I lost 100 pounds myself so yes I know where you're coming from!

I had a great time meeting all of the Champions there! I volunteered for the midnight shift too. I was ready to pull the plug on the timer if the last guy came in after midnight. haha It was a great time!
