Goal driven

Each year I come up with a running goal.  I started this a few years ago and have found having an annual goal keeps me focused and drives me to do more.  Last year I wanted to run more miles than the year before. I realized at the end of October I wasn’t going to succeed if I didn’t pick up my mileage.  November ended up being the highest mileage in one month for me at 119 miles.  I continued running more than usual in December and beat my mileage from 2015 by 30 miles.  This year instead of just wanting to beat last year’s mileage my goal is to hit at least 100 miles each month.  I’ve heard of people running the year in miles but 2017 miles is a bit too much for me.  So I’m going to aim for 1217 which will hit the 100 miles per month plus a few extra.  So far this year I’ve succeeded by running 109, 100, 112, and 109 miles for the first 4 months.  For me and my running, it’s all about having a goal!
