South Carolina Ragnar 2017!

South Carolina trail Ragnar Relay did not disappoint.  Me and seven of my coolest running buddies had a blast the first weekend in October running the trails and bridges (Indiana Jones style ones) of South Carolina.  If you ever get the opportunity to participate in a Ragnar Trail Relay I highly recommend you GO FOR IT!

It was an epic adventure during which we all ran 16 miles of hard core trails while trying to avoid dehydration from the blessed heat, not get lost because much of our running was in the pitch dark and remain conscious despite very little sleep.  Of course, I wore my PH Singlet for the occasion and ran my best, but still it was dicey at times even for me the seasoned trail runner.  And many of my friends were not natural born trail runners so it was crazy at times.  Despite my falling in the first quarter mile of the race for our team because I was in fact the lead off runner, we still finished faster than last year and had a ton of fun along the way!

Hey there fellow Ragnarian! I am an ambassador for Ragnar Michigan but I really want to experience Ragnar Trail! I am very jealous and glad you had a good time! I did a Ragnar Ultra team this year in Michigan and loved the challenge and how close our team was. Maybe I’ll see you around!
