Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am married with two sons, live in Portage, and work in the insurance industry. Since I was young, I have been involved in competitive athletics. I did not get into cycling until I was introduced by my neighbor about 10 years ago. Once I started riding, I was hooked. I enjoy cycling because of the friendships I have developed and the healthy lifestyle it helps me maintain.
What's your history?
Prior to Priority Health, I was a member of Team Active Racing. My favorite races are the Iceman and Barry Roubaix.
Tell us about a memorable race experience.
In 2007 I entered Trans Iowa with the goal of finishing the 300 plus mile self-supported race on my singlespeed to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. After completing the toughest event I had done in my life, I finished 4th overall and 1st in the singlespeed category.
What are 3 adjectives that describe your approach to your sport?
Focused, creative, and methodical.
What are nutritional tips you use to gain optimum performance?
I make my own energy gels and trail mixes.

What is your single most important goal this year?
Balancing work, family, and cycling.

The thing I love most about competing is ____________.
This thing I love most about competing is the challenge.
