Exercise Regimen
Why is it important to keep up your exercise regimen?
Continuing to exercise will decrease one's lifetime risk of multiple diseases and cancers including breast cancer, which my graduate research is on.
Because going fast is FUN!
Getting back into shape is tougher than you'd think. Best to not get out of shape in the first place. Most importantly, exercise is the best possible way to manage stress.
Why keep up your exercise regimen?
Because when I don't exercise, my family can't stand how cranky I get, and if I don't exercise I get this physical feeling similar to like when you forget to brush your teeth: just…GROSS!
I really look forward to my time that I have set aside to exercise. It gives me an opportunity to get away from the needs of others and improve myself which in the end makes me a more relaxed, happier person for everyone else.
Making it a habit.
Any thing you do on a regular basis becomes a habit; whether good or bad, and regular exercise is a great habit to have. Try writing down goals detailing why you want to exercise, whether to run a 5K, to complete a sprint triathlon, or possibly for weight loss. Stay focused on your exercise goals for motivation, because only consistent, regular exercise results in increased overall fitness level.
Our bodies were meant to move.
I don't think that everybody needs to race to be fit, but being active with a purpose allows our bodies to move better in every way than if we were sedentary.
