Priority Health Cycling Team is Changing Hands

For the past two years, Priority Health has sponsored a professional cycling team to help promote messages of health and wellness throughout our service area. The team has enjoyed incredible success, earning national recognition and reaching out to more than 50,000 kids and families in Michigan.

At the end of this year, Priority Health's title sponsorship of the pro team will end. In 2008, the pro team's title sponsorship will move to Bissell, Inc. as the Bissell Pro Cycling Team.

"We're thrilled Bissell is making the financial investments necessary to take the team to the next level in the world of cycling," says Rob Pocock, associate vice president, Corporate Communications for Priority Health.

"We plan to maintain our involvement in the cycling community," Rob added. "We experienced phenomenal success in sponsoring this year's Priority Health Grand Cycling Classic (Grand Rapids) and Priority Health Tour de Leelanau (Leelanau County), and we're looking at ways to build on this to make a larger impact throughout our service area. We'll also focus on supporting amateur cycling teams in a continued effort to encourage people to enjoy healthier and more active lifestyles."
