Cone Azailia Classic

Priority Health's Women's Cycling season was kicked off on Sunday with a podium sweep at the Cone - Azaila Classic bike race! According to plan, we launched our first attempt to get an elite woman up the road in lap two on the dirt section of the course. Laura Webb attacked and rode easily away from the group. Next, it was no surprise to see Mackenzie Woodring attack and effortlessly bridge up to Laura where they would ride away to secure the top spots on the podium. Cheryl Olson and Kathy Kirk controlled the rest of the race by closing any gaps and keeping the group together and finally taking the top finishing positions in the field sprint. We had a little luck on our side with four women in the race and not a single flat tire on the dirt, where other teams were less fortunate. A perfect performance by all and an outstanding team effort! Podium recognition for Priority was spectacular as the announcer was generous with kudos!
