Andrew Florian
Interesting facts: Activities I enjoy besides cycling include: cross-country skiing (skate), lifting weights, listening to music, using Macintosh computers, reading, and cooking.
More from Andrew:
- It’s never too late. Everyone has to start somewhere, so go at your own pace.
- I don’t have a “favorite” snack, but several easy foods tide me over when I’m on the go: fruit, legumes, whole grain cereal and bagels can be good, quick sources of high-octane fuel before workouts.
- To get into cycling, I recommend talking to people at a local bicycle shop. They will most likely be able to put you in contact with a bicycling club.
- Perhaps the biggest thing I’ve learned about sports nutrition is that paying attention to it can make your dreams come true, and neglecting it can be your undoing.
- In the end, all of the training and determination in the world can be undone by something as simple as eating or drinking too little.
- Training a lot is the nature of cycling. My competition trains a lot, so I’m forced to train.
- The riders who are in the best shape will almost always be the fastest.
