What/how to plan for 2018

I don’t necessarily have plans for every month for 2018 but I would like to get in more races than in 2017. We adopted our son in January 2017 and my training/fitness was definitely not a priority for me this year, unfortunately. I want to get back to it and make sure that I am taking care of me. I was still doing ballet but not a whole lot of running. Thinking about doing Gazelle Girl again in the Spring and maybe Park to Park in the fall. First, we will start off with trying to run a couple times a week. I am hoping that this will be better with my schedule since I just moved work locations and now have an 8 minute commute versus 30 minute commute. Sounds like a good start to a running routine…

I grew up on the east side of Michigan and moved to Grand Rapids to go to GVSU. I loved the area, stayed here after graduation and have established myself as a PA with Spectrum Health. I am married to my amazing husband who is a teacher and wrestling coach and we have been blessed with a little boy to help keep us busy.

Sounds like a great start! I only ran 2-3 times per week with one long run the last 2 times I ran the GG Half. That is seriously my favorite race! I like to pick a spring and fall race also to keep me active and running! My running partner Kelli and I would love to have you join us! You should also check out the Gazelle Girl Sweat is my Sparkle Group. It’s been great to stay active during the holidays.
