2018 Goals

With all that is going on right now, I do have some goals for the new year. Nowhere near as ambitious as last year, and I think that’s a good thing.

1. I need to lose weight. I was doing so well, and then some stress happened. Currently at 224, I’d like to get to 200-205 and call it good.

2. To lose weight, I found the culprit. Too much alcohol and late night eating. I believe if I closed the kitchen at a certain hour, that would help.

3. Exercise 5 days a week. And it doesn’t have to be running. It can be yoga or Pilates, it can be cycling, it can be HIIT… just anything to get moving and feel good.

4. I said no marathons this year. I think that will play with goal number 1.

5. Do not read fitness or beauty magazines. Runner’s World assumes we either look like Meb or Shalane… or we need to lose 20 pounds right now.

6. Cut back on coffee, they screamed… while drinking 5 cups today.

7. Breathe.

    Love this! The goal to not read fitness and/or beauty magazines really resonates with me. My goal is to stop comparing myself to others and to just keep working.
