What's your history?
I've had Crohn's Disease since 1978, dumped 100 pounds using common sense, and started running in 2009.
Tell us about a memorable race experience.
Doing an epic "face plant" during the 2010 Reeds Lake 10K and ending up in the hospital, for my health!
What are nutritional tips you use to gain optimum performance?
With my Crohn's I pretty much eat nothing before a race. I can't!

Give us some inspiration!
My kids motivate me. I didn't want to die just yet. It took years to put on a ton of fat, and I wasn't going to lose it in a few weeks. I had to make simple, reasonable, but real changes, over time.

What is your single most important goal this year?
I'd like to lose 9 more pounds to drop a total of 110!

The thing I love most about competing is ____________.
How great I feel after crossing the finish line!

GR Bridge Run 10 Mile?

I’m hoping for some help regarding the course. Where/what are the tough or easier spots?

A Word About HEAT STROKE

For most of us, running in the heat is uncomfortable, slows us a bit, and we would certainly prefer to race on cooler days.

I’ll admit I’m a bit worried.

Start. Just START!

I told my wife I wanted to lose 110 pounds and she very politely suggested I was delusional!
